Our Mission
Our mission is to identify, preserve and protect Pasadena’s historic, architectural and cultural resources through advocacy and education.

Pasadena Heritage is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit founded in 1977 to combat the demolition of cherished cultural and historic landmarks in Pasadena.
Through advocacy, education, historic walking tours, architectural theme weekends, Craftsman Week, the Pasadena Heritage Bridge Party and so much more, we are dedicated to the protection and defense of Pasadena’s rich history and extraordinary architectural legacy.
Education
Educating the public about Pasadena’s cultural and historic resources and architectural heritage is a principal tenet of our mission.
Throughout the year our varied educational offerings include guided walking tours, narrated bus tours, presentations and illustrated lectures by preservation experts, and self-guided or drive-yourself tours.
Advocacy
Threats to Pasadena’s historic architecture remain ever present. We continually advocate for the protection and preservation of Pasadena’s storied historic buildings, places and spaces.
Our efforts have contributed to saving and preserving some of Pasadena’s most iconic structures including the Colorado Street Bridge, Old Pasadena, the Rose Bowl, the Civic Center, City Hall, the Central Library and more.

Our headquarters and community meeting space.
The Blinn House, built in 1906, was designed by noted Chicago architect George W. Maher and is his only known residential structure on the West Coast. The house features fine woodworking throughout, detailed stained glass windows, glass-tiled fireplaces, and a later conference room addition designed by famed Pasadena architect, Myron Hunt.
With multiple meeting spaces, it is available for receptions, meetings, gatherings and events of all kinds.
